Workshop:
Youth, Climate & Protest
In cooperation with the Archiv der Jugendkulturen
The connection between youth and protest has a long tradition. Young people and their representations in public space are perceived by older generations as difficult, often difficult to understand, and annoying on the one hand, but also as innovative and important for the present and future on the other. For a long time, however, older people predominantly set the tone in social movements.
What has changed with Fridays for Future and other young protest movements? What influence do media have on youth (cultures) and their cultural and political concerns, developments, challenges, and articulations?
We will explore this in a workshop and in the exhibition at the Museum of Capitalism.
When: Sunday, November 17th, 2024 | 2pm – 6pm
Where: Museum of Capitalism
Workshop leaders: Thomas Riedmann, Tom Zschiedrich, Gabriele Rohmann
Target groups: Young people aged 14 and over, multipliers and interested parties
The event is free of charge. We ask you to register by November 14th, 2024 at veranstaltungen@jugendkulturen.de
