Gender relations still exist today as relations of domination. Feminists around the world continue to fight against gender inequality and injustice as well as for equality, access and participation. However, when it comes to understanding how to get rid of structures of domination, we encounter disagreement in feminist history, theory and practice as to which ways and means could bring the feminist project to its goal. To this day, opinions are divided on the concepts of equality and difference, the understanding of the subject, the necessity of a materialist class analysis and critique of capitalism, questions of identity and experience and the complicit entanglements in the neoliberal gender regime. We want to discuss the extent to which incompatibilities can be reconciled and the extent to which we can agree to disagree without losing sight of our goal.
